Our hub of operations here at MidcoastHome Real Estate Services! There's much to say about Rockland; a little city town that's grown up over the years. Once a "pass through" on the way to Camden or Acadia National Park, Rockland has established its own identity as the "Arts Capital of Maine".
Captivating vistors for generations, Camden is a venerable yet cozy waterfront town steeped in history. Wonderful shops and restaurants, neighborhoods spanning from historic summer estates to newer homes. The harbor, amphitheater and Camden Snow Bowl are iconic contributions to this special town.
Its been said that Owls Head is "all the access without the taxes!" Perhaps thats true, but either way, Owls Head is just a hop skip and jump from Rockland's bustle. A charming blend of ecclectic summer cottages from a byegone era and new homes, Owls Head boasts our area's best beaches, the Owls Head General Store, a stunning lighthouse, and you guessed it...easy access to Rockland and all major Midcoast Points.
Spanning a beautiful coastline, inland to wooded neighborhoods with a more rural feel, Rockport offers a little bit of everything. The "village" is neslted up to the harbor and has a small selection of eateries, a new small hotel, and a charming waterfront and beach. Inland, enjoy pretty forests, picture-worthy hills and valleys, and some very scenic country views.
Including the villages of Tenants Harbor, Clark Island, and Port Clyde, St. George is a world away but within 15-25 minutes of the action. Beautiful historic homes and cottages, general stores, a few fantastic eateries and the launching point to Monehegan Island.
Graced with seafaring history, historic home enthusiasts will love the long streets lined with sea captain homes, a picturesque waterfront, and a newly revived Main Street with great shops, restaurants, the Thomaston Grocery and a barber!
Just off the beaten path, enjoy some of the area's best island dotted rocky coasts, fisherman working their boats, beautiful saltwater farms, forests and little villages along the way.
"The Common" in town is Americana at its best. A hometown IGA, delicous food options, farm markets, lakes and ponds and hills. All within an easy drive to the coastal communities and Augusta.
Most notable for the Wyeth family history, Cushing is a quiet peninsula just south of Warren and Thomaston Maine. Large properties with rural feel roll down to the rocky coast or saltwater rivers where the tides merge.
Waldoboro covers a lot of options in a relatively spacious corner of this part of the world. Spruce dotted rocky coastlines, a historic downtown center, and rural life to the West offer a variety of settings with a seafaring heritage.
Belfast is a large town right on the water and a fanstastic gateway to Waldo County. Flanked by rolling agricultural communities, Belfasts' seaside heritage blends well with its agricultural neighbors offering a lively food and artisan scene, industry and commerce.
Hope is hip! You can find it on a bumper sticker so it must be true. Tucked in the Camden Hills just outside of Camden itself, Hope is graced with absolutely gorgeous rolling mountains, fields, lakes and forests. The general store serves up great treats and sundries year-round, and artisans dot the area.
Appleton Ridge, Sennebec Lake and Maine's rural beauty is captured here. One of the few places in the area where you can catch a sunset AND a sunrise from atop Appleton Ridge.
The centerpiece of Lincoln County, Damariscotta boast streets of historic grand homes, a bustling main street and a short drive to the area's treasures Pemaquid Beach and lighthouse. This charming peninsula boasts several sleepy towns and an island-speckled coast.
Postioned centrally along the Midcoast region, Nobleboro is easily accessible to the Damariscotta, Camden/ Rockland area, and Augusta. Patsoral agriculture, some pretty lakes and waterfront, Nobleboro has much to offer.
